Singing On The First Solo Single, Former Keyboardist Peterpan Andika Naliputra Follows Ahmad Dhani's Footsteps
JAKARTA - Andika Naliputra released her first solo single entitled My loneliness via Maymusic. The former keyboardist of Peterpan and The Titans sings his own song.
According to an official statement received by the editors, Wednesday, July 21, the reason Andhika sang in this song was because he wanted to follow in the footsteps of senior musician Ahmad Dhani (Dewa 19).
"I (now) have a band with a female vocalist (Mikhaila) but I don't have a band to sing songs for boys that I make. So the thought occurred to me, 'In the past, my seniors like Ahmad Dhani didn't sing but they played backing vocals while playing. keyboard. Why don't I try singing my own songs?" Andhika said.
In the process of recording the song "Seepianku", Andika still involved Mikhaila personnel to fill in several instruments.
However, Andika felt more free to determine the concept of her music this time compared to when she was with the band.
One of them was when he decided to incorporate elements of bossanova music into the song My loneliness.
"In a band, maybe there will be pros and cons to incorporating bossanova elements into the song. If it's solo like now? It's free," concluded Andhika.
It doesn't end there. As a soloist, Andika already has plans to release several more songs in the near future.
