Restrictions On DPR Activities Continue, Council Members Send Kunker Photos And Videos

JAKARTA - The Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, revealed the development of the COVID-19 case in the DPR RI. Of the 511 people including members and employees, 346 people were tested negative. While 165 people are still positive.

From this data, 24 council members have tested negative, while 5 others are still positive for COVID-19. This is based on monitoring in the internal laboratory.

"Those who carry out tests in the DPR's labs, we don't monitor those outside. Actually, it's okay to have a bigger interpretation, it's very possible. Finally, we have 29 members who have tested negative 24, which is still 5 as of yesterday. (Monday, July 19)," Indra said when contacted by reporters on Wednesday, July 21.

It is known, President Joko Widodo has officially announced the extension of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM until July 26. The policy of extending the restrictions was also carried out by the DPR RI.

Indra said his party is still very restrictive of activities within the parliament. Like meetings and other activities. Even during recess, the mechanism for working visits is also tightened.

"This coincidentally relates to the recess period, we have discussed the mechanism for different working visits. With regard to activities with constituents, the responsibility can be with photos," explained Indra.

Likewise with meetings with constituents or the community, council members do not need to provide assistance directly, but with experts.

"So it is conveyed indirectly by members. The accountability can be through photos or videos for activities in the electoral district during the recess," explained Indra.

For the DPR building, Indra said, during this recess, his party was continuing to carry out sterilization in all rooms.

"Activities are currently minimal, this is our opportunity to carry out sterilizations in the work room and meeting rooms and also at the plenary session," said Indra
