Band Tool Select Cancel Fear Inoculum Tour From Delay

JAKARTA - American rock band Tool chose to cancel the entire tour. Instead of delaying or rescheduling the schedule, they chose to cancel it.

After releasing their fifth album Fear Inoculum in 2019, Tool is already planning a North American tour. However, the morning of COVID-19 was also present when they were on tour.

On Friday, June 5 Indonesian time, Tool released a tour cancelation statement on their Facebook page. Tool realizes that this situation is very difficult for musicians, promoters, and even the venue for the event to take place.

“When we put our final stage on 2020, March 11th at the Moda Center, Portland, we believed we'd be back on tour in the fall. We are working towards this goal until we realize there is no certainty in scheduling dates for this fall or 2021, "the statement read.

"Government and local regulations vary and no one can predict when a large capacity event will return safely."

Tool explained that they received a lot of messages about losing their jobs, being sick, feeling sick emotionally and financially.

"We think tying up our fans' money for months, if not a year, is not fair. With that in mind, we made the difficult decision to cancel the tour so that we could support the people who supported us over the years,"

They realized that they wanted to play their songs for the waiting fans. "When the time is right, we will."

As a result, fans who have bought Tool tickets can get their money back in full. The price of concert tickets, especially for bands like Tool, cannot be considered cheap, so this decision is considered a good one.

The album Fear Inoculum is their latest album after releasing the last album 10.000 days in 2016. This year, they received a Grammy Awards for 7empest as Best Metal Performance.
