Suffering 15 Months Of Gambling, Sturridge Finally Plays Football Again
JAKARTA - Former Liverpool and Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge will train with newly-promoted La Liga club Real Mallorca after more than a year without a club.
The 31-year-old footballer has been without a club since March 2020 when he ended his contract with Trabzonspor in Turkey.
At that time he was given a four-month ban by the English FA for violating the gambling rules.
"RCD Mallorca has extended the invitation for Daniel Sturridge to take part from July 14 in the club's first-team training sessions as part of the preparation process", Mallorca said quoted Antara from Reuters.
