JCI Closed Tuesday, Gaining 104.49 Points To 4,858.10
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was able to close higher on Tuesday, June 2 trading. JCI strengthened significantly 2.20 percent or 104.49 points to the level of 4,858.10.
Closing the trade, 245 stocks rose, 165 stocks fell, and 154 stocks remained unchanged. Trading volume, recorded 9.62 billion shares and transacted at Rp. 11.63 trillion.
Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama said, JCI strengthened because market players appreciated the reopening or re-opening of the economy gradually, both domestically and in countries globally.
"The new normal condition scenario has a positive psychological impact on market players to be more optimistic. Inflation data also tends to be stable," Nafan told VOI.
This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) which rose 21.71 percent to Rp925, PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (KREN) which strengthened 11.59 percent to Rp77, and PT JAPFA Tbk (JPFA) which strengthened 8.89 percent to Rp980.
While stocks that are in the top losers ranks, including PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) which fell 5.14 percent to Rp1,475, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) which fell 4.90 percent to Rp1,845. and PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), which fell 3.50 percent to Rp965.
