Deactivated By Bobby Nasution, Head Of Medan Maimun, Son Of The Indonesian Ambassador To Morocco, Chooses To Resign
MEDAN - Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution, said that the temporarily deactivated Head of Medan, Maimun Yasir Rizka, finally chose to resign from his position permanently.
"This, I inform you that the Medan District Head Maimun, who is still under investigation, was not fired, but yesterday he resigned," said Bobby Nasution after attending the Medan City DPRD Plenary Meeting, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 12.
The Medan City Government has approved the resignation request, so Yasir Rizka officially quits due to alleged abuse of authority and illegal levies (extortion).
In fact, Yasir Rizka, who is the biological son of the Indonesian Ambassador to Morocco and Mauritania Hasrul Azwar, is currently undergoing an examination by the Medan City Inspectorate.
"He resigned because he felt responsible for what he had done," said Bobby Nasution.
"During the inspection period, hopefully, this week the results of the Inspectorate's examination will be out," said the Mayor of Medan.
