Pariaman Police West Sumatra Requires Residents To Administer SKCK And Driving License To Be Vaccinated
PARIAMAN - The Pariaman City Police, West Sumatra, requires residents who are applying for a police record certificate (SKCK) and driving license (SIM) to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
"All services at the Pariaman City Government and Pariaman Police, whether in the form of SKCK, SIM, or other things, must show a vaccine certificate", said Pariaman Police Chief, AKBP Deny Rendra Laksmana, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 12.
According to AKBP Deny, vaccination is an effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, especially now that its development has become increasingly widespread in the last few weeks in Indonesia.
However, he continued, the regulation does not apply to residents who, based on the doctor's judgment, cannot receive the vaccine because of a congenital disease.
"If that's the case, we can show a certificate from a doctor, and we can understand that", said the Police Chief.
The police chief said that up to now, the number of residents who have undergone vaccination has reached 15,000 people spread across several sector police and the Pariaman Police Satlantas.
The implementation of vaccination through the ranks of the Pariaman Police until March 2022, according to him, can be achieved.
AKBP Deny asked residents who have been vaccinated to continue to apply health protocols.
For the implementation of vaccination at the Pariaman Traffic Unit Office on Monday, about 100 people came from various circles, including the public and journalists.
Previously, Pariaman Mayor, Genius Umar, emphasized that the COVID-19 vaccine was by scientific and medical, and legal principles to provide the best for the community.
