COVID-19 Update As Of July 12: New Cases Reach 40 Thousand During Emergency Community Activity Restrictions Day 10
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 149.744 specimens were examined with the result that there were 40.427 new positive cases of COVID-19.
The increase in COVID-19 cases on the tenth day of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) implementation reached a new record. Previously, the highest daily case increase was on July 8, amounting to 38.391 cases.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 2.567.630 people and 376.015 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, July 12.
Today's recovered cases increased by 34.754 cases, bringing the total to 2.119.478 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 891 people and a total of 67.355 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 14.619 cases and a total of 677.061 cases. Followed by West Java which has 7.942 new cases with a total of 459.949 cases. Central Java has 2.928 new cases and a total of 294.481 cases. Then, East Java had 2.742 new cases and a total of 197.103 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 20.478 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 4.449 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 2.730 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 1.669 recovered cases.

No province has reported zero new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 21.906.066.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 41.46 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 170.101 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
To date, 36.368.191 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 15.036.468 have received the second dose of vaccination.
