KPK Summons Anies Baswedan And Chairman Of DKI DPRD Alleging Corruption In Land Acquisition, Firli Bahuri: We Will Definitely Reveal
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it will send a summons to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan and Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.
Both of them were summoned to be investigated for the alleged corruption case of land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, Jakarta in 2019. Anies and Prasetyo's investigation is needed to clarify the alleged corruption that caused the state to lose up to Rp12.5 billion.
"Regarding the land acquisition program, of course, in the preparation of the DKI APBD budget program, the DKI Governor is very understanding as well as the DKI DPRD, which has the task of setting the RAPBD into a APBD with the DKI Regional Government," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to reporters, Monday, July 12.
"So of course it is necessary to ask for information so that it becomes clear," he added.
Firli said that the anti-corruption commission wanted this case to be thoroughly disclosed for the sake of legal certainty and to create a sense of justice and benefit for the community.
Thus, he ensures that his subordinates will work hard to investigate the alleged corruption and ensnare anyone involved, including from the legislative and executive elements.
"We will reveal all parties suspected of being involved, both from the legislative and executive circles. This land acquisition budget is a huge loss to the state. So whoever the perpetrators are involved with sufficient evidence, we will not indiscriminately because that is the working principle of the KPK," said the former Deputy for Enforcement. .
Furthermore, Firli ensured that his party would also work based on the available evidence. Thus, the anti-corruption commission investigators will continue to seek and collect evidence in order to dismantle the allegations.
Moreover, the KPK upholds the principles of basic tasks such as the public interest, legal certainty, justice, transparency, accountability, proportion, and upholds human rights.
"It is not permissible to assign a suspect without sufficient evidence, and every suspect has the right to be examined quickly and immediately brought to justice. The sun rise and the sun set principle must be enforced. Give the KPK time to work, in time the KPK will definitely convey it to the public ," he said.
Previously, the KPK named four suspects in this case, namely the Director and Deputy Director of PT Adonara Propertindo, namely Tommy Adrian and Anja Runtuwene, former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya Yoory Corneles, and Director of PT Aldira Berkah Abadi Makmur (ABAM) Rudy Hartono Iskandar. In addition, the KPK has also named PT Adonara Propertindo as a suspect in corporate corruption.
This case began when Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, which is a BUMD in the property sector, was looking for land in the Jakarta area to be used as a business unit or land bank.
Furthermore, the Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya collaborated with PT Adonara Propertindo which is also engaged in the same field.
From this collaboration, on April 8 2019, it was agreed to sign the Binding of the Sale and Purchase Agreement Deed before a notary which took place at the Perumda Sarana Jaya office. This signature was carried out between the buyers, namely Yoory and Anja Runtuwene.
At the same time, a payment of 50 percent or around Rp. 108.9 billion was made to Anja's bank account at Bank DKI. Next, on Yoory's orders, the payment was made in the amount of IDR 43.5 billion.
However, in the land acquisition process, Perumda Sarana Jaya is suspected of committing fraudulent actions such as not conducting a study on the feasibility of the land object and not conducting an appraisal study without being supported by the completeness of the requirements according to the relevant regulations.
In addition, this BUMD company is also strongly suspected of carrying out the process and stages of land acquisition not according to procedures and there are documents that are prepared in a back date, as well as an initial price agreement between Anja and Perumda Sarana Jaya before the negotiation process is carried out.
