Tomorrow, Silence On Cipta Indonesia Held Simultaneously For 60 Seconds

JAKARTA - Data from the COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) noted that as of Thursday, July 8, 63,760 Indonesians had died out of a total of 2.41 million national COVID-19 cases.

For the many Indonesian people who have died against COVID-19, Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, specifically invites the public to pray for the momentum of "Silent Cipta Indonesia" which will be held simultaneously on Saturday, July 10, tomorrow.

The event to honor the deceased Covid fighters started at 10.07 WIB and lasted for 60 seconds.

"On Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 10.07 WIB, let's have a moment of silence for 60 seconds. Pause for a moment all activities, wish the health workers, volunteers, the community and all those who have preceded us," said Minister of Religion Yaqut in Jakarta, Friday, July 9th.

Yaqut explained that a moment of silence is done by being silent, contemplating, praying, remembering those who have fallen.

"A moment of silence is also a form of respect for those who have died," he said.

The former chairman of GP Anshor hopes that the momentum of Hening Cipta Indonesia can grow the strength of solidarity for the entire community in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It is also expected to provide awareness about how important health benefits are, so they must be maintained properly," he explained.

In addition to praying for those who died, the Minister of Religion also invited the people to pray for the safety of the nation.

"Let's all Indonesian people, let's take a moment of silence together, pray, so that the COVID-19 pandemic will soon disappear. And let's always #PrayFromHome, pray from home while we are working from home, working from home," he concluded.
