PAN Party's Proposal On The Special Hospital For State Officials Is Exaggerated, NasDem Party: An Unimportant Privilege!
JAKARTA - NasDem Party politician Willy Aditya regretted the proposed construction of a special hospital for state officials to treat COVID-19 patients from among members of the council and other public officials.
"I think the proposal submitted to build a special hospital for state officials is excessive and will hurt the public's feelings", Willy told reporters, Thursday, July 7.
According to him, the proposal actually builds a gulf between the people and officials. More precisely, said Willy, members of the House of Representatives (DPR) have both succeeded in the government's steps to control the rate of transmission of COVID-19.
"Not proposing to build a hospital for unimportant privileges", said the member of Commission I of the DPR.
The chairman of the NasDem Central Executive Board (DPP) believes that there are many ways to protect the public, including members of the DPR, from the pandemic, besides demanding the establishment of an exclusive hospital.
These include promoting mobility restrictions, living healthy, and complying with health procedures, as well as encouraging neighborhood-based self-isolation places with the support of adequate facilities, and many others.
"The example of mutual cooperation shown by residents today should be an important lesson. Members of the DPR should encourage such mutual cooperation and if necessary participate in facilitating it according to their respective electoral districts", said the East Java legislator.

Members of the DPR, he added, also need to encourage the birth of state policies that can serve as legal umbrellas. "A quick response in an emergency for government officials", said Willy.
Previously, PAN Party straightened the statement of the Deputy Secretary-General of PAN Party Dr. Rosaline Rumaseuw, who asked the government to create a special hospital for officials to handle COVID-19 in a webinar yesterday.
Deputy Secretary-General of PAN Party DPP, Dr. Irvan Herman said that what Rosaline said was a personal statement and not the party's position. In fact, he said, PAN Party never discussed let alone proposed a special hospital for officials.
"We are also surprised that the person concerned suddenly proposed a special hospital for officials. It was entirely a personal proposal. PAN never discussed let alone proposed a special hospital for officials", said Dr. Irvan told reporters, Thursday, 8 July.
