PAN 'Washes Hands' After Its Cadres Ask For A Special Official Hospital: It's A Personal Proposal, It Should Be An Official Class Hospital
JAKARTA - Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) Party corrected the statement of the Deputy Secretary-General of PAN, Dr. Rosaline Rumaseuw, who asked the government to create a special hospital for officials to handle COVID-19 in a webinar yesterday.
Deputy Secretary-General of PAN, Dr. Irvan Herman, said what Rosaline said was a personal statement and not the party's stance. In fact, he said, PAN never discussed let alone proposed a special hospital for officials.
"We are also surprised that the person concerned suddenly proposed a special hospital for officials. It was entirely a personal proposal. PAN never discussed let alone proposed a special hospital for officials", said Dr. Irvan told reporters, Thursday, July 8.
According to him, the proposal arose because Dr. Rosaline was disappointed and sad because her relative in PAN died due to delays in treatment at the hospital.
"That's the suggestion of Mrs. Dr. Rosaline because she feels sad that her brother John Mirin, a member of the PAN faction of the Indonesia House of Representatives, because of the late treatment at the hospital, finally breathed his last, died", he said.

Dr. Irvan said that PAN's attitude in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic was clear and clear, namely that all cadres, both in the executive and legislative institutions, had to come directly to help people who were in trouble due to the pandemic.
He also revised that it is not necessary to provide a special hospital for officials, but the people should get a hospital with official class treatment.
"In fact, PAN's proposal is how people can get official-class hospital facilities. Do not discriminate between health facilities for those who can't afford it, especially in this COVID-19 pandemic situation", he stressed.
Because, continued Irvan, Article 28 H of the 1945 Constitution states that every citizen has the right to obtain health services. He also ensured that PAN supports the Emergency Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) policy and continues to help people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"PAN is currently moving to help the government by organizing vaccination programs in many places. This is our endeavor to work together to get out of this COVID-19 Pandemic," said dr. Irvan.
Previously, the Deputy Secretary-General of the PAN, Dr. Rosaline Irine Rumaseuw asked the government to provide a special hospital for state officials or council members infected with COVID-19.
The reason is, in recent days many members of the House of Representatives and other state officials have fallen against the deadly virus. Even milling sad news.
"I've been helping state officials for one month, two months to refer to hospitals in Jakarta. The government has forgotten that it must provide health facilities for state officials. I know there is an Army Central Hospital, but once Corona was born, we weren't ready so health facilities didn't exist. We are too complacent that all of Jakarta exists even though it doesn't exist", said Dr. Rosaline in a webinar 'Netizens' Perceptions of Handling COVID-19', Wednesday, July 7.
