15 Positive Medical Personnel For COVID-19, Depok Hospital To Close Polyclinic Services

DEPOK - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Depok City, West Java, will temporarily close all polyclinic services for the next 14 days. Starting from 22 May to 8 June 2020. Everything was done due to 15 health workers who tested positive for COVID-19.

The temporary closure is because the Depok Regional Hospital will sterilize all rooms. The room used for the polyclinic will be decontaminated so that when it is opened again it is sterile. This includes implementing isolation of health workers to anticipate the spread of COVID-19.

"Because the polyclinic has been closed, we are now only serving COVID-19 patients, both in the Emergency Department (IGD) and those who are hospitalized," said Director of Depok Regional Hospital, Devi Maryori in a written statement, Saturday, May 23.

The fate of 15 medical personnel

All medical personnel infected with COVID-19 at the Depok City Hospital have been isolated. They have also been treated in this hospital. Luckily, in general their condition is still normal. Only one person has a mild fever.

How they contracted this is what the hospital is still looking for. Even though the health workers at the Depok Hospital have already followed the existing health protocols. Likewise, when examining patients, the hospital has made a barrier at the patient examination site.

"The cause of our nurses' exposure is under tracing and research,"

Director of Depok Hospital, Devi Maryori

He advised the people of Depok to continue to be aware of the transmission of COVID-19. Keep yourself and your family in accordance with applicable health protocols. As well as supporting the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) program implemented by the government.

"I ask the public to support the government in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19. Use a mask, keep your distance, do not hang out. The main thing is to stay at home if there is no urgent need or need," he said.
