North Sulawesi Police Stops Death Of Sangihe Islands Deputy Regent
JAKARTA - The North Sulawesi Regional Police have stopped investigating the case of the death of the Deputy Regent of the Sangihe Islands, Helmud Hontong, which was previously considered odd.
Head of North Sulawesi Police Public Relations, AKBP Julest Abraham Abast, confirmed the termination of the investigation into the case.
"Yes, that's right. The Regional Police Chief confirmed that the death of the Deputy Regent of the Sangihe Islands was due to a chronic illness, not from poison", said Julest, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 29.
According to Julest, the North Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Nana Sudjana has conveyed that the North Sulawesi Police have conducted an investigation. In addition, an autopsy on the deceased was carried out
The results of the autopsy, said Julest, found no poison. In addition, according to him, repeating the information from the Head of Police, some information also obtained from the family, the deceased did have a chronic disease
Julest also said that from the results of the investigation and autopsy conducted by the North Sulawesi Regional Police, it is hoped that the wider community will adhere to the results of the existing autopsy facts.
The cause of death for the Deputy Regent of Sangihe Islands, North Sulawesi, was revealed after an autopsy was carried out on Monday, June 14.
An autopsy on the body was carried out by the North Sulawesi Police Forensic Team this morning at 05.30 WITA at the Liung Kendage Hospital, North Sulawesi.
There were no signs of injuries on Hemud Hontong's body. The results of a provisional autopsy, death due to complications of chronic disease.
