DKI Regional House of Representatives Proposes Buperta Cibubur To Be The Location For Isolation Of COVID-19 Patients
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI Regional House of Representatives, Mohamad Taufik, proposed that the Campground and Graha Wisata Pramuka (Buperta) Cibubur, East Jakarta, be used as locations for the isolation of COVID-19 patients.
On a note, patients who are isolated in Buperta are not expected to have severe symptoms because there are no complete treatment support facilities such as hospitals.
"I would encourage Buperta Cibubur to be filled with patients without symptoms or very mild symptoms and not pregnant", Taufik told reporters, Tuesday, June 29.
Taufik assessed that the addition of this isolation location needed to be done because the bed occupancy rate of the COVID-19 referral hospital in the capital city was running low.
Currently, the occupancy of COVID-19 special isolation beds reaches 93 percent of the total 9,852 beds. Meanwhile, ICU room occupancy is 87 percent of the total 1,218 beds.
Then, as of today, the occupancy of the isolation beds at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran has reached 90 percent of the total 7,894 beds.
"This is to anticipate the surge of positive COVID-19 patients in hospitals which will almost collapse if the addition continues to occur in significant numbers", he said.

According to him, there are several halls and meeting rooms that can be used as isolation rooms. Meanwhile, in the field, tents can also be set up for use by COVID-19 patients with low symptoms.
"The tents are also adequate, there are medical devices that are suitable for triage and according to health standards for handling COVID-19", said Taufik.
Taufik said he would discuss the proposed use of Buperta Cibubur as a COVID-19 isolation location with the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.
