COVID-19 Update As Of June 29: New Cases 20,467, Accumulated 2,156,465 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 143,957 specimens were examined with the result that there were 20,467 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 2,156,465 people and 228,835 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, June 29.

Today's recovered cases increased by 9,645 cases, bringing the total to 1,869,606 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 463 people and a total of 58,024 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 7,379 cases and a total of 535,788 cases. Followed by West Java which has 3,908 new cases with a total of 376,982 cases. Central Java has 2,932 new cases and a total of 251,604 cases. Then, East Java has 1,065 new cases and a total of 171,830 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 3,505 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 1,500 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 1,140 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 547 recovered cases.

None of the provinces reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 19,760,346.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 33.3 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 133,723 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

Currently, 28,304,774 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 13,329,738 of the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
