Crypto Is Increasingly Accepted! Banco Azteca Will Be The First Bank In Mexico To Adopt Bitcoin

JAKARTA – One of the richest people in the world from Mexico, Ricardo Salinas Pliego, reportedly planning to make Banco Azteca the first bank in Mexico to serve the number one cryptocurrency, namely Bitcoin.

According to a report from Coin Desk, Salinas announced his plans in a Twitter post, saying that he plans to make his bank accept Bitcoin.

"I and my bank (Banco Azteca) are working to become the first bank in Mexico to accept #Bitcoin", wrote the owner of Banco Azteca, who is among the 166 richest people in the world.

The Salinas video has been shared on Twitter by Bitcoin proponent and well-known investor Anthony Pompliano. The video was commented on by MicroStrategy boss, Michael Saylor. Saylor's company was later rumored to own as much as 105,085 Bitcoin.

In the video, the owner of Banco Azteca says he has witnessed hyper-inflation firsthand. This led him to choose to invest in Bitcoin and he alleged that “fiat money is a scam”.
