National Office Do Not Forget To Report Gratitude Before Hari Raya Idulfitri

Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded officials and state administrators to report the receipt of gratuities ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1441 Hijriah. The gratuities that must be reported, both parcels and Eid gifts, are closely related to their position and duties as state administration.

KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri stated that the KPK actually appealed to civil servants or state officials to refuse gratification at the first opportunity. However, if due to certain conditions cannot refuse, the receipt of the gratuity must be reported to the KPK.

"The gratification report is no later than 30 working days from the date of receipt. In the event that the reporting of the receipt of gratuities is made through the agency's UPG, the reporter must report it within a maximum period of 10 (ten) working days from the date the gratification is received," Ali said in a written statement, Thursday. , May 21.

"Furthermore, UPG is obliged to forward the gratification report to the KPK within 10 (ten) working days from the date the gratification report is received," he continued.

Ali said that officials who report the receipt of gratuities are free from criminal threats as stated in Article 12B of Law No. 20 of 2001 on corruption. The threat is in the form of life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 20 years and a fine of at least Rp200 million and a maximum of Rp1 billion.

During the month of Ramadan and Idul Fitri 2020, which is from April 24 to May 19 2020, the KPK received 14 reports of receiving gratuities with an estimated total value of IDR 21 million.

"The reports came from 5 ministries, namely 9 reports, 3 local governments each 1 report, and 2 BUMN or BUMD each 1 report," he said.

The reported gratuities still range from parcels of food, glassware and money, with the lowest value of Rp. 100,000 to food worth Rp. 7.5 million. The purpose of giving is intended as additional money in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan as well as the Eid al-Fitr holiday allowance (THR).

Regarding the reports received, the KPK verifies their completeness and then analyzes them to determine whether the report belongs to the reporter or belongs to the state.

To date, the most widely used reporting medium is through the individual Online Gratuity (GOL) application, comprising 11 reports. The rest are GOL of the gratuity management unit (UPG), UPG electronic mail and individuals, each with 1 report.
