Former Acting Director Of KPK Investigation Dies Of Illness

JAKARTA - Former Acting Director of Investigations of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Kompol Ardian Rahayudi has died. The investigator from the Bhayangkara Corps breathed his last at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital at around 05.30 WIB on Sunday, June 27.

"It's true, Rahmatullah has passed away due to illness, one of the best KPK investigators," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters on Sunday, June 27.

Ardian has served on the anti-corruption commission for seven years and has handled various corruption cases. In addition, he has served as Acting Director of Investigations replacing Brigadier General Setyo Budiyanto who took a leave of absence some time ago.

"May Allah SWT accept his good deeds and also so that the entire family of the deceased who is currently still sick will be given healing and also fortitude," he said.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, conveyed the same news. He asked all parties to pray for Ardian and his family who are still sick.

"Please pray from all seniors so that all the sins of the deceased are forgiven. Please also pray so that all the families of the deceased who are still sick are given health and also the courage to pass this test," said Argo.

For information, Kompol Ardian, who once sat as an investigator at the KPK, was transferred to the National Police based on the Police Chief's Telegram Letter Number ST/1109/V/KEP/2021 dated May 31, 2021 to serve as Pamen at the National Police SSDM. However, he was appointed as Acting Director of KPK Investigations.

The KPK reasoned that the appointment could be made because Ardian was still an active Kasatgas at the KPK and had not yet received a summons from the original institution.
