Check Guitarist Of The Changcuters Arlanda Ghazali, KPK Investigate Allegations Of Giving Money To The Regent Of West Bandung

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of giving money to West Bandung Regent Aa Umbara Sutisna from a number of parties, including The Changcuters guitarist Alda Ghazali Langitan.

This was done when investigators examined Alda and other witnesses on Friday, June 25. They were examined to complete the case file of Aa Umbara and other suspects.

Aa Umbara is a suspect in the alleged corruption case of goods for emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic at the West Bandung Regency Government Social Service for Fiscal Year 2020.

Apart from Alda, there were a number of other witnesses examined, namely Oktavianus, Risal Faisal, and Dikki Harun Andika. All three come from the private sector.

"Witnesses were present and confirmed regarding the alleged giving of some money to the suspect AUM from various parties for participating in the procurement of social assistance for the COVID-19 pandemic at the 2020 West Bandung Regency Government Social Service Office," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, told reporters quoted Sunday, June 27.

Actually, the KPK also scheduled an examination for nine other witnesses. It's just that they are absent from the call. Those who were absent were seven from the private sector, namely Rini Rahmawati, Ricky Widyanto, Benny Setiawan, Iwan Nurhari, Ricky Suryadi, Asep Juhendrik, and Samy Wiratama.

While the rest came from housewives, namely Seftriani Mustofa and Rini Dewi Mulyani. "KPK urges the witnesses to be cooperative in attending to the summons of the investigation team which will soon be scheduled," said Ali.

Previously, the KPK named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of emergency goods for the COVID-19 pandemic at the West Bandung Regency Social Service, West Java in 2020.

The three suspects, namely the 2018-2023 West Bandung Regent Aa Umbara Sutisna (AUS), Andri Wibawa from the private sector who is also the son of Aa Umbara, and the owner of PT Jagat Dir Gantara (JDG) and CV Sentral Vegetable Garden City Lembang (SSGCL) M Totoh Gunawan (MTG).

Aa Umbara is suspected of having received Rp1 billion in cash. Meanwhile, the child who also received the procurement project received a profit of Rp. 2.7 billion and M. Totoh Gunawan received Rp. 2 billion.
