Briber Of Ex Minister Of Social Affairs Juliari Batubara Pays Fines And Replaces Rp100 Million To The State
JAKARTA - The bribery of former Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Juliari Peter Batubara who is a private party, Harry Van Sidabukke has paid a fine and replacement money after being sentenced to four years in prison.
These fines and replacement money were then deposited into the state on Thursday, June 17. The payment of this fine and compensation is based on the decision of the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court Number: 8/Pid.Sus-TPK/2021/PN. Jkt. Pst dated May 5, 2021.
"Execution Prosecutor Andry Prihandono and Medi Iskandar Zulkarnain have deposited into the state treasury a fine of Rp100 million from the convict Harry Van Sidabukke," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, Wednesday, June 23.
Besides Harry, the KPK handed over a fine of Rp200 million from the inactive Tasikmalaya Mayor Budi Budiman to the state treasury. This is based on the Corruption Court's decision on PT Bandung Number: 4/TIPIKOR/2021/PT BDG dated May 5, 2021.

Next, the anti-corruption commission of the former Klaten Regent Sri Hartini also made a payment of a fine of Rp599 million. This money is the settlement of the total fine that must be paid, which is Rp900 million based on the decision of the Corruption Court at the Semarang District Court Number: 55/Pid.Sus-TPK/2017/PN. Smg dated September 13, 2017.
"Previously the convict Sri Hartini had also paid the fine in installments in stages, namely Rp54.9 million; Rp76 million; and Rp170 million," said Ali.
Finally, the KPK also deposited the second installment of replacement money of Rp200 million from the former Acting Head of PUPR Muara Enim Ramlan Suryadi. Previously, the convict Ramlan had also made payments of Rp305.675 million of the total obligation for compensation of Rp1,102 billion.
This payment is based on the Corruption Court's Decision at the Palembang District Court Number: 18/Pid.Sus-TPK/2020/PN. Pls January 19, 2021.
"The collection of the payment of fines and replacement money from corruption convicts will continue to be carried out by the KPK Executing Prosecutors Team as a form of asset recovery and income for the state treasury," concluded Ali.
