Deputy Chairperson Of The Karawang Regional House of Representatives Dies Suspected Of COVID-19

KARAWANG - Deputy Chairperson III of the Karawang Regional House of Representatives, Deden Rahmat, died allegedly due to exposure to COVID-19.

"We are sorry, my friend (Deden Rahmat) is the best cadre of PKB Party", said Chairman of the Branch Leadership Council of PKB Karawang, Rahmat Hidayat Djati, in Karawang quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 23.

He said PKB Karawang mourned the death of Deden Rahmat because he was a very good PKB politician and had an important role, both internally and externally to the party.

"On behalf of the individual and the party's institution, we express our deepest condolences, may the deceased get the heaven of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'alla. To the family left behind to be patient with the passing of the deceased, I testify that he was a good person", said Rahmat Hidayat.

Before his death, Deden Rahmat was hospitalized for six days.

The funeral process for Deden Rahmat was carried out by implementing health protocols. Several officers who carry out the funeral procession use personal protective equipment.

Meanwhile, the information that has been collected shows that there are currently several members of the Karawang Regional House of Representatives who have tested positive and are currently undergoing self-isolation.

In addition, some staff has tested positive for COVID-19.
