Yusri Yunus Affirms No Lockdown For Jakarta, Only Restrictions
JAKARTA – The increase in COVID-19 cases is increasingly worrying in Jakarta. The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus confirmed that his party had imposed restrictions on the mobility of residents starting at 21.00 WIB on 10 roads in Jakarta. But this is not the same as a lockdown.
"There are 10 points that we will impose restrictions on. I repeat the restrictions. Don't let it slip later, it's called a lockdown of all kinds. There is no lockdown, this is a restriction," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus at a press conference at the Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, June 21. The mobility restriction was carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya at 21.00-04.00 WIB on 10 roads where health protocol violations often occur in the form of crowds due to cafes, bars, and restaurants that are open outside the permitted hours. "Why at 21.00? Because there is a rule at 21.00 that activities must be completed, restaurants must close, cafes, everything must be closed," he added as reported by Antara.
The 10 locations targeted for mobility restrictions are Bulungan, Kemang, Gunawarman Street, and Suryo Street (South Jakarta). Next, Cikini Raya, Sabang, Asia Afrika Street (Central Jakarta), BKT (East Jakarta), Kota Tua ( West Jakarta), Boulevard Kelapa Gading (North Jakarta), and the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area.
Mobility restrictions will be carried out by diverting traffic flow to motorists at the 10 locations, except for residents, pharmacies, hospitals, ambulances, hotel guests, and emergency services. there are 10 pieces of road that we do restrictions," he said.
Mobility restrictions are carried out on the legal basis of Law Number 2 of 2002, Law Number 22 of 2009, Governor's Decree Number 759 of 2021, Governor's Instruction Number 39 of 2021, Gubernatorial Regulation Number 79 of 2020, and Governor Regulation Number 3 of 2021.
This effort was made to limit the mobility of residents. After completing office activities, residents are advised to return to their respective homes. Not to do other activities such as kongkow and so on. The problem is that at this time the distribution of VIRUS-COVID19 is still very worrying.
