JAKARTA - The Indonesian Navy (TNI) has prepared the Jakarta Marine Base Dolos Building for self-isolation to anticipate the surge in COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia, especially in DKI Jakarta.

The condition of this building has been directly inspected by Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral TNI Ahmadi Heri Purwono on Wednesday, June 16 yesterday. Heri said the Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono had ordered all his personnel to play an active role in suppressing the number of COVID-19 which has been increasing lately. One of them is by providing the Dolos Building for Indonesian Navy soldiers and their families who experience mild or asymptomatic symptoms.

"I see that the readiness of the Dolos Building to anticipate the Covid-19 spike has been going well, it can be seen from the facilities and infrastructure here, which are clean and tidy, moreover, a place for sunbathing and exercise is prepared which can certainly increase the body's immune system to be healthier," he said in a written statement. quoted Thursday, June 17.

Furthermore, the KSAL Deputy received an explanation from the Head of Health for Kormar Marine Colonel (K) Ario Sakso Bintoro regarding the condition of the Dolos Building during a review. In the explanation, it is stated that the building, which has a building area of 2,156 square meters, consists of two floors.

On the first floor there are 42 rooms with beds, while the second floor has 50 rooms. In addition, the Dolos Building is equipped with other facilities, such as a negative pressure room with eight cubicles, a positive pressure room equipped with advanced equipment, and a neutral room.

The neutral room is a facility and infrastructure that contains a dressing room for medical personnel, a bathroom for medical personnel, a sink and a patient bathroom. The capacity of the Dalon Building which can temporarily be used reaches 100 beds, and will be added to 200 beds.

In addition to visiting the building, Heri also reviewed other facilities, namely the Navy Hospital (Rumkital) dr Mintohardjo. This review starts from the room for COVID-19 patients who are in sebatik, numfor, and tarempa, as well as the Radiology room and CT Scan.

Next, he also reviewed the kitchen as a place to prepare the daily needs of patients with predetermined nutritional standards.

This hospital has a capacity of 130 beds and has been filled with 111 beds. As for the health workers who are prepared to serve COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients, there are 300 people consisting of doctors and nurses from the military, civil servants, PHL and volunteers from the Ministry of Health.
