COVID-19 Cases Soar, Task Force Implements Odd-Even In Bogor City
BOGOR - The Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force has again imposed an odd-even policy for motorized vehicles on weekends. The odd-even application aims to limit the mobility of citizens to prevent the spike in COVID-19 cases.
Bogor City Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said to prevent the spike in COVID-19 cases, his party as part of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force was ready to take anticipatory steps, both on a macro and micro scale.
On a macro scale, the Deputy Head of the Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force said his party was ready to impose an odd-even policy for motorized vehicles on weekends and holidays, from 10.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB.
According to him, the Bogor City Police will establish five isolation locations supervised by 30 joint personnel from the Polresta, Kodim 0606, and the Bogor City Government.
The five blocking locations are at the fork in front of the Baranangsiang Terminal, Jalan Raya Pajajaran in front of the Bumi Aki Restaurant, the Fountain Roundabout, Jembatan Merah, and at Jalan Empang, namely the engineering of traffic flow from Jalan Raya Otista to Empang in one direction.
"In the application of odd-even for motorized vehicles, vehicles that are allowed to pass are vehicles with odd or even number plates according to the date on the calendar," he said.
Vehicles whose number plates do not match the date on the calendar, he said, will be reversed, except for ambulances, fire engines, online public transportation and official vehicles.
For the micro-scale, the Bogor City Police is ready to strengthen the supervision of the implementation of restrictions on micro-scale community activities at the RT and RW levels.
