Good News From Pertamina, This Homeland Oil And Gas Giant Deposit For The State Reaches Rp126 Trillion

JAKARTA - Indonesia's oil and gas giant, PT Pertamina ensures that throughout 2020 it has deposited Rp126.7 trillion for the state, despite the COVID-19 pandemic situation that hit last year.

The amount of IDR 126.7 trillion includes tax payments of IDR 92.7 trillion, dividends of IDR 8.5 trillion and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of IDR 25.5 trillion.

Pertamina Senior Vice President Corporate Communications & Investor Relations Fajriyah Usman said that 2020 has passed with the blow of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Pertamina is still able to record positive performance so that it can continue to contribute to the country through taxes, dividends and PNBP in large amounts.

"This amount is a contribution to the payment of taxes in 2020 and dividends from Pertamina Group profit from the 2019 financial year which have been paid in 2020," said Fajriyah in an official statement, Monday, June 14.

Fajriyah added, with the tough challenges of 2020, Pertamina's contribution to the country remains high, although not as high as under normal circumstances in 2019.

The amount of dividends of Rp. 8.5 trillion paid was equivalent to 23.8 percent of the total net profit of the company led by Nicke Widyawati in 2020. This number increased compared to the dividends paid throughout 2019 of Rp. 8 trillion or 22.1 percent of the company's net profit. .

"Pertamina will continue to make a real contribution to state finances and will continue to play an active role in encouraging national economic growth. Pertamina's contribution will continue to increase in line with economic recovery and the national vaccination program which is expected to control the COVID-19 pandemic," concluded Fajriyah.
