Meet Ganjar Pranowo, Austria Offers Central Java Provincial Government Cooperation In Education
JAKARTA - The Government of Austria and the Provincial Government of Central Java are exploring cooperation in education and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
This was known from the meeting of the Austrian Ambassador to Indonesia Johannes Peterlik with the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, Monday, June 14. During the meeting, Johannes said that the cooperation between Indonesia and Austria has been going very well, in one area of education.
"I discussed with the governor the possibility of cooperation in the field of vocational schools. Many Austrian companies are involved in vocational school training and we offer it to the Central Java Provincial Government", Johannes said, quoted from Antara.
The meeting also discussed the potential for other cooperation in art and the exchange of artists from the two countries that are expected to be realized soon.
"We also discussed the potential for cooperation in MSME products, we have several trades that run on an MSME industrial scale. The products will be produced in Central Java", he said.
In addition to discussing the potential for cooperation, Johannes also discussed with Governor Ganjar regarding the handling of COVID-19 and assessed that the handling in Central Java was very good.
"Austria as a member of the European Union supports Indonesia, a member of the Covax initiative. EU countries have recently increased the number of vaccines in the Covax initiative to help Indonesia fight this deadly virus", he said.

Meanwhile, Governor Ganjar welcomed Johannes Peterlik's visit and hoped that there would be cooperation between Austria and the Central Java Provincial Government in the field of education, especially vocational schools.
"We are grateful for this visit because this cooperation can affect improving the economy. I am happy, there are several sectors of cooperation that have been established, namely education, MSMEs, and others. In this education sector, we want to cooperate in vocational schools with Austria", he said.
Vocational schools, Ganjar continued, are indeed being boosted in Central Java following the development of the industrial sector and to fulfill the skills and expertise of the workforce in Central Java.
"Shortly, we could send some teachers to Austria to learn about vocational schools there or from Austria we invite here to impart knowledge to our teachers. model for it", said Ganjar.
