Inter Milan Doctor Says There Are No Signs Of Health Problems In Eriksen's Body

JAKARTA - Denmark international player Christian Eriksen is showing no signs of ailing health, Inter Milan's team of doctors reported on Sunday after the midfielder collapsed in Copenhagen.

The 29-year-old is reportedly still in hospital and is in a "stable" condition while he undergoes further tests. As is known, Eriksen suddenly fell on the field during the Euro 2020 match against Finland on Saturday, June 12.

"This incident is bad news, not only for me but also for our entire club family", Inter Milan team doctor Piero Volpi told Gazzetta Dello Sport, quoted by Antara from AFP, Monday.

"In the next few days, he (Eriksen) will undergo an in-depth examination".

"The important thing is that he is fine. There was never any sign of any health problems during his time at Tottenham or at Inter. In Italy, there are very tight controls", he added.

The Inter Milan star suddenly fell on the pitch in the 43rd minute of Denmark's Euro 2020 opening match. He lay motionless as medics performed CPR.

He lay on the pitch for about 15 minutes before being taken off the pitch and rushed to the hospital.

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta said Eriksen had sent a message via group chat: "I'm fine, I hope to be back soon".

"It happened so dramatically, but fortunately Eriksen's condition was not as dramatic as it was thanks to the help of the doctors", said Marotta.

"Thanks to everyone, opponents and friends, because they stayed close to us. He (Eriksen) has never had COVID-19 and he has never been vaccinated, we don't want to disturb him because it's the player's right to calm down.

"He is a champion. We want to keep him for a long time and hope he can solve this health problem", said Marotta.
