Hansi Flick Akui Merindukan Marcus Rashford
JAKARTA - Hansi Flick revealed that he missed Marcus Rashford after the striker returned from his loan spell at Manchester United.
Rashford is preparing for a new Premier League season with Manchester United after Barcelona opted not to sign him permanently.
ESPN reported in June 2026 that the Catalan club was still open to bringing him back for a lower fee or for a second loan, but the arrival of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi seems to have closed the door on the England player.
"You don't know what happens with a player on loan - our situation is not easy for that. However, I appreciate working with him (Rashford)."
"He's a fantastic player and a fantastic person. The team misses him, I'll miss him, but that's life."
"This is what we have to accept. In the end, Anthony Gordon came and since my first call with him, he was very excited with Barcelona and I am very happy he is in our team," said Flick.
Currently, Rashford is expected to return to Carrington in early August 2026 to join Manchester United's preparations for the 2026/2027 English League, which begins with a visit to newly promoted Hull City on August 22, 2026.
Meanwhile, Rashford previously felt his future was uncertain. In June 2026, Manchester United asked for up to 40 million euros for a permanent transfer, on the condition that it did not let him join a rival in England.
The situation made the Blaugrana reluctant to get Rashfrod and made the striker quite difficult to find another club.
"I am very grateful to everyone at the club for making my time here a positive and unforgettable experience."
"I've enjoyed every moment and I'll take many special memories with me. I wish the club and all its supporters the best of luck and success in the coming season. Visca el Barca," wrote Rashford.
