Storm Sama Girlfriend Until Throwing Motorcycle Keys into the River, Looked for Many Times Until the Boyfriend Drowned

JAKARTA - A 19-year-old teenager named M. Tomul Adi Kurniawan who plunged into the West Canal Flood (BKB) on Jalan Tanggul Banjir BKB, Grogol Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta was finally found dead on Monday, August 3, 2026.

According to residents, the victim had previously jumped into the stream after arguing with his lover. Then his lover threw the victim's motorcycle key into the BKB stream and the victim tried to find the motorcycle key.

However, it is suspected that the victim was carried away by the current until his body drowned. The victim was searched by the SAR Team since Sunday, August 2. As a result, the victim was found on Monday morning by personnel from the Jakarta SAR Office along with other SAR teams.

"The victim was found floating upside down in the Season City River area, about 1.5 kilometers from the scene," said the Head of the Jakarta SAR Office, Desiana Kartika Bahari as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) when confirmed.

Furthermore, the victim was evacuated and taken to a funeral home to be handed over to the family.

"The victim was previously reported to have been carried away by the current and drowned in the West Canal Flood River. The Joint SAR Team received information about the discovery of a body under the Season City Bridge at 07.20 WIB," he said.

The team then moved to the location and at 08.00 WIB and managed to identify the body as the victim who was being searched.

Desiana said that previously the search efforts were carried out by dividing the operation area into two Search and Rescue Units (SRU).

"This is a search along the BKB River using rubber boats as far as 3 kilometers from the scene and a visual search through the land route along the BKB River banks up to 5 kilometers from the scene," he said.

The SAR operation involved elements from the Jakarta SAR Office, Tanjung Duren Fire Department, West Jakarta BPBD and the community and other elements. With the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was declared complete and all SAR elements involved were returned to their respective units.
