Turkey Says Israel's Latest Attack in Gaza Shows Netanyahu Government Has No Intention to Make Peace

JAKARTA - Israel's latest attack on the Gaza Strip, Palestine, once again shows that the Government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not intend to make peace with Palestine, Turkey said on Sunday night.

"Netanyahu's only goal is to expel Palestinians from their homeland and prevent peace and stability in the region," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its official website, Anadolu reported (3/8).

Furthermore, it is said, Netanyahu continues to take steps that undermine the fragile regional balance and sabotage mediation efforts led by countries, especially the US.

"It has become imperative for the international community to adopt a more decisive, consistent, and strong stance against Netanyahu's expansionist and militaristic approach, which seeks to turn the entire Middle East into a conflict zone," the statement said.

Calling on all countries to support peace and prosperity for Palestine and the wider region, the ministry urged the international community to act with a sense of shared responsibility and uphold international law and humanitarian values.

As previously reported, at least 19 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks since Sunday morning in Gaza.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas on Sunday accused Israel of deliberately stepping up its attacks in the Gaza Strip to thwart an agreement reached with mediators and the US government on the implementation of a ceasefire agreement.

It is known that the health authorities in Gaza announced on Sunday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression in the Palestinian enclave since October 2, 2023 has reached 73,356 people while the number of injured reached 174,185 people, quoted from WAFA.

Meanwhile, since the October 2025 ceasefire agreement, Palestinian deaths have reached 1,230 people, while the injured have reached 4,076 people.
