Isuzu Traga Disulap Jadi Salon Mewah Berjalan di GIIAS 2026, Ini Penampakannya
JAKARTA - PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) presents a new innovation at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 through the Isuzu Traga Putri Salon Studio. The light commercial vehicle is the result of collaboration with Karoseri Delima Mandiri and Putri, a hair care brand owned by ParagonCorp, which presents the Mobile Beauty Salon concept.
Through this concept, the public can enjoy various professional salon services more easily in various locations. Facilities available include analysis of hair and scalp conditions, consultation with hair experts, to hair styling services.
The presence of the Isuzu Traga Putri Salon Studio is proof that commercial vehicles can not only be used as a means of distributing goods or logistics. Isuzu wants to show that commercial vehicles are also capable of being a flexible business platform to support the service sector as well as the creative industry.
Business Strategy Division Head of PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia Rian Erlangga, said the collaboration reflects the company's commitment to providing commercial vehicles that are able to keep up with the development of the needs of various industries.
"Through the Isuzu Traga Putri Salon Studio, we want to show that commercial vehicles have much wider potential than their conventional function as a transport vehicle. With the flexibility that Isuzu Traga has, this vehicle can be developed into a mobile business solution that supports business actors to reach consumers more effectively, including in the beauty industry which continues to grow in Indonesia," said Rian Erlangga quoted from the official statement, Monday, August 3.
Senior Group Head of Paragon Personal Care Khikin Indahsari, explained that the presence of Putri Salon Studio is part of the company's efforts to bring innovations that are closer to people's needs. The concept of Mobile Beauty Salon is considered capable of expanding access to professional hair and scalp care services, as well as realizing the spirit of Salon Everyday so that the salon experience can be enjoyed in daily activities.
"Through Putri Salon Studio, we present a professional salon experience, ranging from analysis of hair and scalp conditions, consultation with hair experts, to hair styling, to be more easily accessible to the public. This collaboration shows how cross-industry innovation can bring new experiences that add value to consumers," said Khikin.
Isuzu Traga was chosen as the vehicle base because it was considered to have a character that supports various body modification needs. The cabin dimensions and the spacious rear area allow the development of a working space that remains comfortable and safe to support operational activities.
Together with Karoseri Delima Mandiri, the back area of the Isuzu Traga was transformed into an ergonomically designed salon space that was able to support various beauty services. During the GIIAS 2026, Putri also presented various interactive activities, ranging from mobile salon demonstrations to talkshows about business opportunities for beauty based on mobility.
As a light commercial vehicle developed for the Indonesian market, the Isuzu Traga has a cargo area measuring 2.8 meters long and 1.6 meters wide which is claimed to be one of the widest in its class. The space is used to present a walking salon complete with various hair care support equipment.
In terms of performance, the Isuzu Traga is equipped with a 2,499 cc Isuzu 4JA1-CR diesel engine which is combined with VGT Turbo Intercooler technology. The engine produces 80 PS of power at 3,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 18.5 kgm at 1,800-2,400 rpm. The power is transmitted through a five-speed manual transmission designed to provide a balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for supporting various business activities.
Isuzu also attaches an update to the Isuzu Traga in the form of an additional pre-fuel filter that creates a double filtration system. This technology helps filter contaminants before the fuel enters the engine, keeping performance optimal, reducing the potential for interference in the injection system, and reducing maintenance costs. This improvement has also been prepared to be compatible with the use of B50 diesel fuel.
"We believe that the need for business mobility will continue to grow. Therefore, Isuzu not only presents vehicles that are robust and reliable, but also builds collaboration with various partners, from car companies to brand owners, so that customers can obtain vehicle solutions that are truly in line with their business characters. This is Isuzu's commitment as a 'Real Partner, Real Journey' in supporting the growth of the business world in Indonesia," concluded Rian.
In addition to the Isuzu Traga Putri Salon Studio, Isuzu's booth in Hall 1B ICE BSD City also showcases various other commercial vehicle innovations that show the vast potential of commercial vehicle applications in various business sectors. Visitors can also obtain information regarding after-sales services, digitization solutions, and follow various interactive activities prepared by PT IAMI for Isuzu Partners throughout Indonesia.
