Ex-Jampidsus Febrie summoned again Friday because of illness
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has scheduled a re-examination of former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah (FA) as a suspect in the alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case on Friday, July 24. The re-call was made after Febrie did not meet the investigators' call on Wednesday, July 22, with the excuse of being sick.
Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said investigators had issued a new investigation order (sprindik) specifically for the alleged TPPU with the number Print-03/F.2/Fd.2/07/2026 dated July 20, 2026.
The Sprindik was issued after the Attorney General's Office received the transfer of handling the case and evidence from the police, in the form of gold weighing 74 kilograms and foreign exchange worth hundreds of billions of rupiah.
Based on the new sprindik, the nine prosecutors who are members of the Nine Team scheduled an examination of four witnesses, namely FA, DR, NH, and TS, as well as an expert on TPPU on Wednesday, July 22.
"However, of the four witnesses, two did not meet the call, namely FA with health reasons and NH did not attend without notice. Therefore, the investigation team will make a new call on Friday, July 24," Anang said in his statement, Thursday, July 23.
Anang explained that the examination on Wednesday was also monitored by the coordination and supervision team from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Prosecutor's Commission (Komjak), the National Police's Court of Justice, and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK). According to him, the involvement of a number of institutions is a form of transparency and synergy in handling cases.
He added that coordination between the Nine Team of the Attorney General's Office with the investigators of the Metro Jaya Police and the National Police's Kortastipidkor continued to be carried out to accelerate the investigation process.
Febrie Adriansyah is known to still be a suspect in the case of alleged corruption in handling the Asabri case as well as the alleged TPPU. Meanwhile, Don Ritto is also a suspect in the case of alleged TPPU.
