MEDAN - Police arrested the murderer whose body was found with his hands tied and mouth gagged in Air Joman District, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra.

Asahan Police Chief AKBP Nugroho Dwi Karyanto said the identity of the suspect had the initials ISL (27).

"The suspect is none other than the victim's own child," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 11.

Based on the results of the interrogation, the suspect admitted that he was desperate to kill the victim (KA) based on disappointment because the victim had never been assisted in economic matters by the victim.

"The suspect also felt hurt by being called a 'useless child' by the victim," he said.

The perpetrator committed the murder by hitting the back of the head with a blunt object and covering the victim's mouth with duct tape.

"The suspect taped the victim at the time after the victim died, with the aim of eliminating traces of the murder. After that the victim scrambled the contents of the victim's closet with the aim of robbery," he said

The suspect then acted and reported to local residents that the victim had died.
