Menhut Emphasizes the OTT-related Cooperative of the Regent of Kuansing

JAKARTA - Minister of Forestry (Menhut) Raja Juli Antoni emphasized the full support of the Ministry of Forestry (Kemenhut) regarding the investigation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding alleged corruption crimes that dragged the Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing).

Menhut is committed to supporting the law enforcement process and ensuring that forest governance is transparent, accountable, and free from corruption practices.

"First, I read the news, the KPK has charged the Regent of Kuansing. I read about the sale and purchase of positions, then there was an expansion of the case with the process of releasing forest areas in Kuansing," said Raja Antoni as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 2.

Menhut expressed his appreciation to the KPK for continuing to carry out anti-corruption duties.

"I appreciate the KPK friends who continue to work to eradicate corruption. The order from President Prabowo Subianto is clear that all ministers, including me as Minister of Forestry, must continue to improve, forest governance, transparent forest governance, accountable, no bribes and no corruption," he said.

He ensured that the Ministry of Social Affairs was open to all the investigation processes carried out by the KPK. Raja Antoni also said he was ready to help both with documents and information if needed by the KPK.

"Therefore, I appreciate it, and we will cooperate from the ministry, me, all the staff, if there are documents needed, if necessary we are called, I am called, God willing, we will fulfill it because once again this is in the context of eradicating corruption, improving our forestry sector," he said.

In addition, Minister of Finance Raja Antoni reiterated that this commitment was a form of full support for efforts to eradicate corruption as well as efforts to strengthen forest sector governance to be more professional, clean, and ethical.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Finance would respect all ongoing legal processes and would not hinder the work of investigators.

"I emphasize once again that we appreciate the work of the KPK, we fully support it and we will cooperate in all legal processes," he said again.

Previously, the KPK held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in Kuantan Singingi and Jakarta on June 30, 2026 by securing 10 people. Of these, five were taken to the KPK Red and White Building for intensive examination.

The KPK then asked Suhardiman Amby and Zulkarnain to surrender. The two complied with the call and were picked up by investigators at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

On July 1, 2026, the KPK named Suhardiman Amby, Zulkarnain, and the President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant Ardiles as suspects in the case of alleged bribery of the sale and purchase of positions in the environment of the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government.
