Ganjar Asks Regencies/Cities In Central Java To Increase Vaccination For COVID-19
BANYUMAS - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked district/city governments to increase the implementation of vaccinations as part of efforts to control the spread of COVID-19.
"Yes, we are increasing now, we ask for our stocks to be used up. So you don't have to wait for the second one, it's okay, the first one is so that there will be more for what reason, because now it's increasing," he said in Sokaraja, Banyumas Regency, quoted by Antara. , Thursday, June 10.
According to him, the average is almost a month for the second dose of vaccination, so if the existing stock can be injected as the first dose to the community, especially for the elderly and comorbid, the acceleration of the vaccination can run.
Ganjar gave an example of the Sokaraja 2 Public Health Center officers who have worked well in the implementation of vaccinations.
"They came to pick up (elderly, ed), cooperated with Dasawisma, some were proactive. Even in other villages, they were already walking, picking up the ball, directly giving the injection on the spot, I think this is a good way. If this speed can be done, God willing, it can protect more people, especially the elderly," he said.
He admitted that he had spoken with the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, regarding the acceleration of vaccination in Central Java and that he had received support.
His party will increase the stock of vaccines for eight districts in Central Java that are included in the COVID-19 red zone.
"There are 20 thousand (dose, ed.), 25 thousand, there are 35 thousand (dose, red) vaccinations. If we can give it even faster, then this will be very helpful to the community," continued Ganjar.
When asked about the target of injecting the first dose of vaccine in Central Java, Ganjar said that from the existing stock and the injections that had been done previously, it was increased by 100 percent.
"So I ask for each existing capacity to be increased by 100 percent. Why 100 percent? This is a speed exercise because the target is in July and August, we must at least be able to increase it up to 300 percent," he said.
Ganjar said with the prepared exercises, so that later if there is a shortage of vaccinators, the TNI/Polri will be ready to help.
Regarding the eight regencies in Central Java that are included in the COVID-19 red zone, Ganjar admits that the zone is increasing, so all parties are asked to be vigilant.
"So I traveled to these places, these areas to prepare everything. Prepare the bed for isolation in the ICU, a centralized isolation place, socialization must not stop, but yes again without community support, it is impossible, we need community support to build awareness together," said Ganjar.
Therefore, he said, "Jogo Tonggo" must be mobilized so that socialization at the micro level can be carried out.
"If you wait for the Regent, the Deputy, all of them come down, wow, the span of control is big. If you are in the micro, in the RT, in the RW, and the activists who work there, this will greatly help speed, so you don't get bored," he said.
