In The Pledoi, Rizieq Shihab Alluded To TWK KPK Employees: Was It Neo PKI's Revenge Against Muslims?
JAKARTA - The defendant in the case of the UMMI hospital swab test results, Rizieq Shihab insinuated about the National Insight Test (TWK) for KPK employees who were considered to have shown an anti-religious attitude.
This statement was made by Rizieq when he read the memorandum of defense or plea at the East Jakarta District Court.
The allegation began when Rizieq said that the TWK was an indication of the rise of the neo-Indonesian Communist Party or PKI. Because, there are a number of questions in TWK that compare the Qur'an with Pancasila.
"There is a National Insight Test (TWK) at the KPK whose questions are anti-religious, among others, are you willing to take off the hijab for the sake of the nation and state? If you were asked to choose, would you choose the Qur'an or Pancasila?" said Rizieq in the trial, Thursday, June 10.
Then, Rizieq also highlighted the attitude of one state official who underestimated the problem. In fact, according to him, the problem will have a big impact.
"Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo lightly stated that the National Insight Test (TWK) was the same as Litsus in the New Order era. Whereas Litsus in the New Order era was to ensure that civil servants were not contaminated with ideology. The PKI is anti-God and anti-religion," said Rizieq.
At the end of the statement, Rizieq felt strange behind the true purpose of the TWK. In fact, he questioned the reason for the test.
"Is TWK a form of revenge for the neo PKI (new PKI) against Muslims?" said Rizieq.
For information, Rizieq Shihab was found guilty by the public prosecutor in the swab case at the UMMI Bogor Hospital. The former frontman of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
