WIKA Involves 4,483 Workers to Accelerate People's Schools in Four Central Java Districts
JAKARTA - The construction of the People's School (SR) continues to be rushed to be completed in June 2026, including those carried out by PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk or WIKA.
It is known that WIKA is mandated to work on SR in four regencies in Central Java, including Banyumas, Wonosobo, Brebes and Cilacap.
In order to pursue the target of completion on June 20, WIKA has employed up to 4,483 people in the four districts.
In detail, the SR project in Banyumas was rushed with the addition of 1,200 workers to 1,700 people. Then, the company added 1,200 workers to rush the SR project in Wonosobo Regency.
Meanwhile, in the SR Project in Brebes Regency, acceleration was carried out through the addition of 320 workers, and in Cilacap, the addition of workers was carried out to 1,200 people.
"Overall, the construction of the People's School in the four districts involved 4,483 workers," said WIKA's Corporate Secretary in a written statement, Wednesday, June 10.
Management added that, as of early June 2026, the average progress of SR development in the four districts had reached 57.4 percent, the details of which were that the SR project in Banyumas Regency had reached 76.22 percent, followed by Wonosobo Regency at 56.32 percent, Cilacap Regency at 49.46 percent and Brebes Regency at 47.61 percent.
"Currently, work in the field is taking place in parallel, ranging from the lower structure and the upper structure, the steel roof frame, the roof cover, architectural finishing to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing or MEP work," he said.
In addition to workers, the company also increased the number of heavy equipment to accelerate the completion of educational infrastructure construction in the four districts. Starting from the addition of cranes, excavators, hyab crane concrete pumps to pumps.
"Through this acceleration, WIKA strives to ensure that development runs optimally, so that this educational facility can be immediately utilized by the community," said management.
