Gorontalo Governor Polices Members Of DPRD For Defamation Of APBD Corruption
GORONTALO - Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie reported a member of the DPRD to the Gorontalo Regional Police on suspicion of insult or defamation.
Head of Public Relations of the Gorontalo Police, Kombes Wahyu Tri Cahyono, said that the complaint letter was delivered directly by the Governor to the Gorontalo Police Headquarters.
"We will study the complaint material first, so that further investigation will be carried out," Wahyu said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 9.
Rusli Habibie admitted that he had complained to the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD Member Adhan Dambea to the Gorontalo Police.
Rusli complained because he felt slandered, related to Adhan's accusations through the mass media that he used the 2019 Gorontalo APBD funds of IDR 53 billion for the benefit of the legislative elections.
"I was shocked and ashamed because there was an online media news that contained, basically I was accused of corruption of Rp. 53 billion and I used it for the dawn attack in the 2019 Pileg. My dignity was destroyed, my family was ashamed, and the journalist did not confirm it with me. that information, confirm with me," he said, in Gorontalo.
According to him, the use of the 2019 APBD funds has been audited by the BPK, and the Gorontalo Provincial Government has won the Unqualified Predicate (WTP).
"I deny the accusation, it's not true. What dawn attack. The candidate at that time was my wife. Besides, it's impossible for BPK not to know there was a Rp53 billion fund that we couldn't account for," he said.
The governor also denied Adhan's accusation that the provincial government had never replied to his letter questioning the use of the funds.
According to him, the letter has been replied to and accompanied by a written explanation from the provincial government through the Gorontalo Regional Finance Agency.
"Funnier still, Mr. Adhan's objection letter uses the DPRD logo and the Yaphara institution's logo. I ask this objection as a DPRD member or as a Yaphara coach," he also said.
He hopes that his complaint will be processed by the Gorontalo Police, and investigators will work professionally.
