Five People Died In Explosion At PT Citra Adi Sarana Factory, This Is The Cause

JAKARTA - An explosion occurred at one of the factories on Jalan Dharmo Sugondo, Kebomas, Gresik Regency, East Java, resulting in the death of five workers and injuries to others.

"We are still investigating the explosion. We are currently securing the scene of the incident," said Gresik Police Chief, AKBP Arief Fitrianto when confirmed in Gresik, reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 9.

He explained that the incident report was submitted to the Gresik Police on Tuesday, June 8 afternoon. It is suspected that the incident occurred when the workers were welding tubes at the engineering and construction factory.

Based on the information gathered, the work accident occurred at PT Citra Adi Sarana (CAS) Indonesia, an industrial area on Jalan Dharmo Sugondo.

The accident started when workers checked the level sensor instrument above the methanol tank, suddenly it exploded.

The victims who died consisted of four men and a woman, while the seriously injured victims were two men.
