Indonesia Doesn't Run Out of Young Talent in the Drifting World, Alby and Athariz Steal the Spotlight
JAKARTA - Indonesia never runs out of talented young talent in the automotive segment. Yes, the national drifting world was again surprised by the emergence of two talented young drifters.
The two names in question are Alby Alvaro and Athariz Fairell, a pair of 13-year-old twins who have officially moved up to the PRO AM class in the second round of the 2026 Passion Drift National Championships which took place at the Husein Sastranegara Circuit, Bandung.
Both are under the guidance and direction of Indonesian professional racer, Reindy 'BTX' Riupassa, and have successfully stolen the attention of national drifting enthusiasts. Although still very young, their ability to control a large-powered drift car has made the names of Alby and Athariz begin to be respected by more senior drifters.
With a combination of natural talent, training discipline, and serious coaching, these two young riders were able to show an outstanding performance throughout the competition.
Alby Alvaro appeared using a BMW E90 engine M54B30 mix of BTX Concept workshop with Kendali Racing Team. His aggressive but precise performance managed to bring him to the Top Qualifier PRO AM title and close the competition in the 5th national position in the Bandung series.
Meanwhile, his twin brother, Athariz Fairell, was impressive using the BMW F22 engine LS3 mix from the P5 Tuning workshop with the BRIDE IDN team which received support from GT Radial. Athariz managed to show dominant performance and came out as the 1st Champion in the PRO AM class in the second round of the 2026 Passion Drift National Championship.
"I think they will become the drifters of the country who will make Indonesia famous in the future," said Coach Reindy Riupassa, in an official statement received, Monday, May 25.
Despite being only 13 years old, the two were able to make large-powered cars dance beautifully on the Husein Sastranegara track, showing incredible technique, courage, and control like professional drifters.
The achievements of Alby Alvaro and Athariz Fairell are proof that the regeneration of the Indonesian drifting world is going very well. Their presence in the PRO AM class is a new hope for the future of Indonesian motorsport on the international stage.
