4 of 6 Perpetrators of Crime Shot by North Jakarta Police because of Fighting

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the North Jakarta Metro Police arrested six street bandits who used to act in the North Jakarta area such as Tanjung Priok, Cilincing, Kelapa Gading, Pademangan.

The six perpetrators have initials S (38), Z (37), BF (24), AS, (21), ORN (31), ATN, (50). Usually they act randomly in deserted places.

Of the six bandits, four of them were disabled by officers for resisting.

"We managed to uncover 8 LP or cases, including those related to curanmor, theft with violence, and theft with charges. The suspects we secured numbered 6 people and there were also 4 motor vehicles," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Erick Frendriz to reporters, Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

The Police Chief emphasized that for the perpetrators of motor vehicles in the case, the development is still being carried out.

"The others are still under development, we are still looking for the penadahnya. For the DPO, there are still 5 more people, we are currently looking for it so that our area can be safe," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Awaludin Kanur, emphasized that his party would not hesitate to take firm action against perpetrators of crimes who dared to act in the North Jakarta area.

"In principle, we, the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, are committed to always taking firm action regarding perpetrators of crimes. We will continue to pursue and arrest the perpetrators," he said.

"We will always maintain the North Jakarta area to always be conducive so that the community is safe," he added.
