Tower Company Owned By Conglomerates Edwin Soeryadjaya And Sandiaga Uno Raise Revenue Of Rp1.42 Trillion In First Quarter 2021
JAKARTA - The telecommunications tower company, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk recorded performance growth in the first quarter of 2021. The company coded as TBIG, managed to reap a net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of IDR 265.90 billion in the first three months of this year.
In an official statement from TBIG, quoted on Tuesday, June 8, the profit of the company, which is affiliated with the conglomerates Edwin Soeryadjaya and Sandiaga Uno, increased by 16.5 percent from the same period the previous year of Rp.228.53 billion.
The increase on the bottom line was in line with the company's revenue increase of 12.7 percent to Rp1.42 trillion with EBITDA of Rp1.23 trillion. TBIG CEO Hardi Wijaya Liong explained that the company recorded organic growth through the addition of 811 gross rentals consisting of 252 telecommunication sites and 559 collocations.
"The continued growth in collocation orders resulted in the highest collocation ratio to date of 1.98 times. Our business continues to demonstrate its resilience with strong organic growth as we go through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic," said Hardi.
TBIG has 32,612 leases and 16,501 telecommunication sites as of March 31, 2021. The company's telecommunication sites consist of 16,390 telecommunication towers and 111 watershed networks. With the total number of leases on telecommunication towers of 32,501, the company's tenancy ratio is 1.98x.
