BYD Indonesia Officially Unveils M6 DM Cross, PHEV MPV with Cutting-edge Technology

JAKARTA - PT BYD Motor Indonesia continues to innovate to strengthen its position in the domestic automotive market, one of the steps taken by introducing DM Technology. The technology in question is Dual Mode (DM) or Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), marking a new chapter for the Chinese brand in Indonesia after previously only launching electric cars. One model that is embedded with this technology is the M6 DM Cross. According to the President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhou, this vehicle is very relevant to the current conditions, where the price of fuel oil (BBM) is experiencing a fairly high increase. Many vehicle owners are currently looking for vehicles that have a fairly high level of efficiency, comfort and also safety thanks to the features and technology presented. "So BYD chose the time to introduce new technology, which is a technology based on EV. And also this vehicle can provide flexibility, comfort, and also eliminate concerns about mileage," he said, at the launch in PIK, Monday, May 18.

The DM technology has actually felt the benefits of more than 7.5 million units worldwide. This technology combines EV + Hybrid which is a comprehensive solution in meeting the needs of environmentally friendly mobility. For the EV mode itself, it can be used when traveling in urban areas. Meanwhile, for long journeys, this vehicle still uses a conventional engine which is claimed to be quite economical. This is because this vehicle has priority to use electric drives as the main source of running the vehicle. The engine embedded in the vehicle is only a support that serves as an electricity generator and is also useful in improving efficiency when needed."Starting tomorrow, consumers can go to BYD's official dealers in Indonesia, to try our latest vehicles," he added.
