Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Assures the State is Present to Solve Problems in the Region

WAMENA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) RI Ribka Haluk ensures that the state will always be present in resolving all problems in all regions of Indonesia, including tribal conflicts in the Papua Mountains.

"The state must be present in every problem that exists in society as a whole in Indonesia and specifically in the Papua Mountains in handling tribal conflicts," he said in Wamena, Tuesday, as reported by Antara.

According to him, every step in handling the tribal conflict in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains, is always reported to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto through the Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya.

"We always report the results of handling tribal conflicts in the Papua Mountains to the president through the Secretary of the Cabinet, where it is hoped that the situation in the area can recover and all community activities can return to normal," he said.

He explained that handling social conflicts that occurred in the capital of the Papua Mountains must be carried out across ministries and agencies so that the solution can be realized immediately.

"According to the instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian for the resolution of the conflict in Wamena, it must be carried out across sectors, considering the efficiency of the budget so that cooperation needs to be carried out," he said.

He added that this cross-sectoral cooperation is to accelerate the post-war peace reconciliation of the tribes in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency.

"The purpose of cross-sectoral cooperation is so that it can be divided, the central government through ministries and agencies what work and what the local government works with the goal of referring to the main goal so that the reconciliation process can be achieved immediately," he said.
