Admits Negligence Because He Has Been Vaccinated, West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Is Positive For COVID-19
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, declared himself positive for COVID-19 and is currently undergoing independent isolation at his official home in the Rancabentang Area, Bandung City.
"Assalamualaikum, Baraya all West Java residents. Today I also got COVID-19. It's been almost five days before six days", said Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum in a video broadcast uploaded to his YouTube account, reported by Antara, Tuesday, June 8.
In the 1 minute 4 second video, Deputy Governor Uu admitted that he had been careless or ignored the implementation of health protocols because he felt he had undergone COVID-19 vaccination twice.
"I do admit that because I felt I had been vaccinated, I was a bit careless. So that health protocols were sometimes ignored. So this kind of thing happened", said Deputy Governor Uu.

Therefore, Deputy Governor Uu apologized to several parties who had made an appointment with his party that had to be canceled because he was exposed to COVID-19.
"First of all, we apologize to the public, if there is a schedule that has been previously scheduled, I can't attend", he said.
"Secondly, I also apologize to the public for their carelessness so that I can get COVID-19 like this. And also ask for your blessing, hopefully, I will recover quickly so that I can continue my activities as usual", he said
