KAI ensures that all long-distance trains operate normally today

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI ensures that all long-distance train (KA) journeys have returned to normal operation today without any cancellations.

In addition, the service recovery process continues to show positive progress after the incident in the Bekasi area.

During the operational adjustment period, KAI said that train travel still had the potential to be delayed.

Operational arrangements are carried out gradually while prioritizing safety aspects and the smooth running of the journey.

KAI's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, said that his party continued to ensure that services could run optimally while fulfilling customer rights.

"We apologize for the inconvenience experienced by customers. In this recovery process, we ask for understanding if the journey is still experiencing slowness. KAI continues to strive for the service to run smoothly and customer rights to be fulfilled," Anne said in an official statement, Thursday, May 30.

In line with the field handling process, KAI also conveyed the development related to customer baggage that was left behind. As of April 30, 2026 at 08.30 WIB, a total of 85 items have been found.

Of this amount, Anne continued, 38 items have been handed over to their owners, while the other 47 are still in the process of being handed over.

"The items found by the evacuation officers on the Commuter Line No. 5568A series have been handed over to the Passenger Service officers at Bekasi Timur Station for data and security," he said.

KAI appeals to users, families, or relatives who feel lost to come directly to East Bekasi Station and contact the lost and found service for pick-up.

"KAI ensures that every stage of recovery is carried out carefully and measured so that train travel can run safely," concluded Anne.
