Attorney General Emphasizes that Employees are not Tolerated to be Disciplined

JAKARTA - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin emphasized that he would not tolerate employees of the Indonesian Attorney General who were sentenced to disciplinary action.

The Attorney General's statement was conveyed in his message while leading the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for the Chief Prosecutor and Level II Officials at the main building of the Attorney General's Office, Wednesday, April 29.

The Attorney General said that rotation, mutation, and promotion were sacred moments that contained the meaning of binding promises to God, society, and the state to devote their abilities optimally.

The position is not merely a right or authority, but a strategic tool to answer the challenges of the times and lead change in a better direction.

He admitted that he was concerned that there were still employees of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office who committed disciplinary violations.

"Regarding the issue of integrity, I am concerned about the data showing that there are active employees who have been sentenced to disciplinary action until April 2026," he said.

As a firm step to maintain the dignity of the institution, the Attorney General emphasized that he would not tolerate any promotion of structural positions for the survivors of disciplinary punishment.

He also requires new leaders to carry out strict and consistent supervision with the principle of responsibility for the actions of each member entirely in the hands of the head of the respective work unit.

Closing his message, Burhanuddin invited all officials to interpret this trust as if it were the last assignment so that it must be addressed and balanced with hard work, smart work, and work from the heart.

"Give your best. Not because of the demands of the position, but as a manifestation of integrity and self-respect. Show performance that not only meets the target, but leaves a meaningful legacy of service that will be remembered as a real contribution to the institution, the nation, and the country," he said.
