Grok Now Automatically Translate Posts on X, Here's How to Turn it Off

Grok, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant from xAI, on the X platform will now translate every post that appears on your home page automatically. This makes the original language of the post disappear.

Every post that is translated, you will see a small description above the post that says 'Translated from (related language)'. This feature works on all languages, even Indonesian which you should see normally.

This is quite annoying because users have to tap the small 'Show original' button on every post just to see the original post from the uploader. If you are bothered by Grok's new ability, there are several ways to turn it off.

First, you need to open the settings first, then click the Accessibility, Display, and Language menu. After that, select the Language menu in the third order. In the Content Language menu, check all the languages that appear.

By doing this, all posts that pass through in English, Korean, Japanese, even Greek will appear in their original language. Grok will not automatically translate the language into English.

After clicking the Finish option, you should get a timeline that is clean of Grok translations. If this method still doesn't work and you still see Indonesian posts translated into English, you need to take the last step.

In the 'Translated from (related language)' description, you will see a jagged icon. Tap the icon, then turn off the toggle button on the option 'Automatically Translate Indonesian (or other languages)'.

After turning it off, the next post with the related language that passes on your home page should have returned to the original language without automatic translation from Grok. If you want to see the translation on a specific post, you just need to click the Show Translation button on each post.
