Bank Syariah Indonesia Capitalizes Mini Pertashop Gas Stations At Islamic Boarding Schools, Same Price Guaranteed

JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. (BSI) again provides Pertashop financing support for the Islamic boarding school ecosystem. This effort is a manifestation of the government's commitment to building the people's economy for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) based on Islamic boarding school.

President Director of BSI Hery Gunardi said that the MSME segment is one of the company's focuses in developing a halal ecosystem that is beneficial to the people. The strategy is to grow the MSME segment based on an ecosystem or community and an integrated value chain.

"We hope to explore the potential of Islamic boarding schools in all regions through the role of each party through cooperation in the economic development of the people," he said in an official statement as quoted on Saturday, June 5.

Hery added that his party is ready to encourage MSMEs to develop and advance to class, not only by providing financial support but also assistance for business actors, including through the provision of training and education.

"By upgrading MSMEs, it is hoped that they can contribute to the recovery of the national economy," he said.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati explained that the presence of Pertashop is expected to make it easier for the public to get access to environmentally friendly fuel.

"We provide quality fuel, namely Pertamax, at the same price as at gas stations," he said.

He mentioned previously that Pertamina had also built Pertashops in several other Islamic boarding schools and had been proven to contribute to improving the economy of the surrounding community.

"The presence of Pertashop in Islamic boarding schools is a form of our commitment as SOEs in distributing quality energy, and moving the national economy, and empowering small communities with affordable investments," said Nicke.

Previously, BSI had provided Pertashop financing to the Islamic boarding school fostered by Habib Muhammad Lutfi Bin Ali Bin Yahya in Pekalongan, Central Java.

In this case, BSI provides product support and banking services for MSMEs in Islamic boarding schools, starting from Laku Pandai agents, working capital for businesses, including the opening of a Pertashop.
